New and replacement septic systems, including the permit and system design.
People in Sanford usually look for septic installation because of a failed system that cannot be repaired, or a new home or addition that needs a septic system. After Hurricane Ian in 2022, the St. Johns River at Sanford reached record flood stage; the previous record crest was 8.51 feet, set in 1953. Compare 17 septic companies serving Sanford and ask each one what type of system the site needs, what the permit covers and how long approval usually takes.
Sanford has about 13,983 single-family detached houses. When a septic system on one of those lots fails beyond repair, or a house is added onto, the replacement needs a permit and a design that fits the lot and soil.
